Decided to work from home and be a 51talk Online ESL Teacher? But doesn't know where to start?

Well, you are on the right page. In this blog, I will talk about what are the things you need before you continue your journey as 51talk Online ESL Teacher!

As a 51talk Online ESL Teacher, you have to be equipped with the things below to ensure you ace your application. Completing this list can make your application faster!

1. Wired Internet Connection

- First on the list is, of course, the internet. It's the most important because it won't be called online unless you do it on the web. Please take note that the minimum speed required to pass this requirement is 3 Mbps and the connection should be DSL Cable or Fiber.

2. LAN Connection

- WIFI CONNECTIONS ARE NOT ALLOWED. Your laptop or computer should be connected via LAN cable. Why? It's because you should have a stable internet connection when teaching and having it connected to a LAN cable can make a huge difference.

3. Computer or Laptop

 - This could be too technical for others but your computer or laptop must reach these specifications:
  • Operating System: Windows 7 or above or Mac
  • CPU: Intel Core i3 6th gen and above / i5 to i7 4th gen and up / AMD A-Series A8 7500 and above / AMD Ryzen
  • Memory: At least 4GB of RAM with a minimum of 100GB free hard disk space available
Many applicants fail the Technical Check because their device doesn't reach these specs. So you have to invest in a good computer or laptopfor your online career as a 51talk Online ESL Teacher!

4. Headset with Extended Mic

Clearer voice or sound can get you more students when you are a 51talk Online ESL Teacher! That's why a headset with a noise-canceling feature is HIGHLY recommended. I personally use Plantronics 628. It works well for an affordable price. Invest now!

5. Webcam

You should have an HD webcam with 720P resolution. So that your student can see your teaching aids, realias, whiteboard clearly. I can recommend what I use, it is Logitech C310 and I bought it online.

6. Teaching Space

Ready your home-office. Teaching in a well-lit, clutter-free, and quiet environment will motivate you to teach more! Make sure you have a plain white background that you can decorate after you got the teaching job. In 51talk, they provide tarpaulin design and you will just print it and put it in your background.

That's it guys! Those are the 51talk Online ESL Teacher Technical Requirements.

Now if you have all of these, you can apply now in the link below.

5 Ways To Update Your Home for Fall 2019

Do you want your home to feel fresh this fall? Seasonal updates are a great way to create a new look and feel without breaking the bank or taking on a major renovation project just before the holidays. Consider these five contemporary autumn upgrades from seasoned interior designers Los Angeles.

A Touch of Velvet
Luxe fabrics have been hot for some time now, and soft, supple velvet is the ideal choice for fall 2019. Add a cozy throw to your bed or sofa, invest in velvet pillow covers or even give your living room a sophisticated update with velvet drapes. Dark, moody colors will set the tone for crisp autumn air and relaxing nights by the fire. Think deep, saturated hues of terracotta, indigo and forest green.

Copper and Brass Accents
You'll be surprised at how new hardware can give any room in your home a whole new look. When it comes to metallic accents for fall 2019, forget last year's rose gold and polished chrome. The warmth of brass and copper is the perfect way to add a welcoming air to your space as autumn approaches. Add these lush metal tones to drawer pulls, light fixtures, bathroom, and kitchen accessories and sculptural artwork. Kitchen Design Los Angeles is rife with burnished and matte finishes rather than the gleaming surfaces that were once ubiquitous. Not crazy about warm finishes? Pewter and gunmetal accents will also be popular in the coming seasons. Mixed metals provide bohemian appeal and depth.
5 Ways To Update Your Home for Fall 2019

Bold Wallpaper and Artwork

Bigger is better when it comes to prints for fall 2019. Floral wallpaper is a mainstay, but that doesn't mean you have to replicate your grandmother's dining room pattern. Instead, go for striking shades of vibrant color and large patterns that add interest and space to an accent wall, backsplash or powder room. Don't feel like tackling wallpaper? Opt for large framed art prints that offer a similar effect. Trade-in tired, trite inspirational graphics ("Live, Laugh, Love," anyone?) for nature photographs and abstract paintings. Geometric patterns bring back the 70s better than your aunt's Grateful Dead poster and look much better on your walls.

Natural Textures
Organic materials like wood, stone, and rattan bring unmatched warmth to any interior. Mix and match textures for the most contemporary feel, from woven upholstery and baskets to a reclaimed pine coffee table. Take it to the next level with real greenery that complements the gorgeous hues of the changing leaves outdoors or go faux if you're not the best plant parent.

Plaid Everything
Flannel in various styles of plaid has been back in a big way for several seasons, so it was only a matter of time before the pattern was reflected in home decor. Keep it modern by sticking to styles that incorporate no more than two colors rather than a jumble of contrasting shades. Look for plaid rugs, accent chairs and even curtains for a fresh, contemporary take on this country classic.

An interior designer Beverly Hills can help you implement the fall upgrades that make sense for your space. Look forward to spending your autumn and winter indoors enjoying your home's new aesthetic.

5 Tips for Throwing a Texas Sized, Vintage Themed Party

5 Tips for Throwing a Texas-Sized, Vintage Themed Party

Everything's bigger in Texas, and that includes the parties. The next time you're knee-deep in vintage-themed party planning and event rentals Houston
, keep these five tips in mind.

1. Don't Limit Yourself to Decades

When most people think of vintage party themes, they think of decades, such as the Roaring '20s. Instead of using an entire 10-year period as your
inspiration, narrow your focus. Choose a historical event, for example, such as the doomed, romantic glamor of the Titanic. Choose a cultural trend,
like hair metal. Choose a classic film, TV show, or book and set your party's theme in that universe.

Don't confine your idea of "vintage" too big chunks of the 20th century, either. Go way, way back in time for a party theme that evokes the legacy of
ancient Rome or the ale-soaked chaos of the Middle Ages that followed.

2. Set the Scene

Décor that fits your party's motif is crucial to a successful vintage theme party. If there's one area of your party planning to embrace the quintessentially
Texas idea of "Go big or go home," this is it.

Ideally, you want your guests transported to another time and place. That means no red Solo cups unless you're throwing an American Pie-themed
kegger. Instead, enlist the help of Archive vintage party rentals for tableware, furniture, and accessories to keep your party
fabulously faithful to its time period.

3. Curate the Soundtrack

Once you have your space kitted out with period-appropriate furniture and décor, it's time to crank up the tunes. Select music that matches your party's theme.
If you're throwing a Victorian garden party, leave Ariana Grande out of it. Don't know where to start? Many streaming services feature curated playlists that
can serve as inspiration.

Hiring a DJ might be an option too. Just make your preferences clear upfront to prevent Post Malone from crashing your 1930s art deco birthday bash for Grandma

4. Look the Part

Costumes are a must-have for any vintage theme party. Think about it: What's the point in transforming your space into a lustrous 1920s speakeasy if everybody
shows up in shorts and sundresses? Let guests know that there's a dress code up front and set the bar high with your own apparel.

Alternately, you might provide guests with props they can wear or use throughout the party. If you were throwing that speakeasy soiree, for example, a small
stockpile of fedoras and feather boas could go a long way toward setting the smoky nightclub tone.

5. Stock the Bar With Specialty Cocktails

Specialty cocktails and soft drinks tailored to your party's vintage theme are an excellent — and easy — way to infuse a little extra flavor into your event.
If you're hiring a bartender, collaborate with him or her on a drink personalized to fit the party's motif or the guest of honor. In a pinch, a clever rebranding of an existing cocktail will work too.

When it comes to hosting a throwback party, the fun is all in the details — not just for your guests, but also for you. Enlist the help of Austin party rentals
the next time you're looking to plan a Texas-sized party with a lavish vintage theme.
